## NOMINEE OVERVIEW

Visa Developer is the gateway to Visa’s digital payment capabilities, bringing a broad portfolio of APIs, tools, and documentation into one place for developers. The relaunched experience is organized around what developers want to accomplish, from accepting payments and moving money to issuing cards, delivering rewards, protecting transactions, and working with data. New experiences including Ask AI, Scenario Runner, and Visa Developer MCP help developers discover the right capabilities, understand how products work together, and move from exploration into implementation. The result is a clearer, more connected way to understand and build with Visa.

## NOMINATION RATIONALE

### 1) BEST UNIFIED OR FEDERATED ENTERPRISE DEVELOPER PORTAL

**Why is this category a strong match?**

Visa Developer brings a large and complex portfolio of APIs and digital payment capabilities into one experience, supporting 110 Visa digital products across payment acceptance, money movement, card issuance and management, rewards and offers, security, cardholder services, and data.

Before the redesign, developers reported difficulty finding key resources, unclear site paths, and confusing content structures. The challenge wasn’t simply exposing Visa’s portfolio. It was making that complexity understandable so developers could find the right capability and start building.

The redesigned Visa Developer flips that experience around. Instead of beginning with the structure of Visa’s portfolio, developers can start with what they want to accomplish: Accept payments, Send and receive money, Issue and manage cards, Deliver rewards and offers, Protect and secure transactions, Support cardholders, or Analyze and share data.

The IA is now the domain model, not an artifact of our org chart.

From there, developers can use Ask AI to find and understand relevant products, explore how APIs work together in Scenario Runner, and move into documentation, sandbox tools, and their own coding environments when they’re ready to build.

Research supporting the redesign showed a 60% improvement in navigation errors, a 25% improvement in time to find documentation, and a higher ease-of-use score from 72% of developers compared with the previous experience.

The result is a clearer path from discovery to evaluation to build to production, giving developers a more understandable way to navigate Visa’s complexity without requiring every underlying capability to work the same way.

**In what ways does your portal shine in this category?**

**Organized around developer outcomes.**
Navigation and the product catalog are organized around what developers want to accomplish rather than requiring them to begin with individual product names. This helps developers form a clearer mental model of Visa’s broader ecosystem.

**Try before you build.**
Scenario Runner closes the gap between reading documentation and starting an integration. Developers can explore realistic, multi-step scenarios, see requests and responses, and understand how multiple Visa products work together before setting up a sandbox project.

**AI where it helps.**
Ask AI helps developers find the right product and get answers grounded in Visa documentation. Visa Developer MCP brings that documentation into developers’ AI coding tools, helping them move from learning about a product to integrating it.

**Content built for clarity and scale.**
The relaunch also addressed the content behind the experience. More than 500 product documents were updated for content and style correctness, while new standards were established to support clear, developer-focused content going forward.

**Built to stay consistent.**
The relaunch brought together design and research, content, product, engineering, QA, identity and access management, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operations. This cross-functional model helped maintain quality across the launch while creating a stronger foundation for ongoing development and support.
