Introduction
As an API company, we pride ourselves on creating an outstanding developer experience. That includes providing amazing docs. We've been consistently praised be developers across the fintech ecosystem for the clarity and feasibility of our docs. Last year the entire site went through an update and since then we've continued to put forth more and more resources to be utilized by a team of one to teams of hundreds.
Why nominated?
Our developer documentation is extremely extensive and thorough. Whether an individual or a team is accessing our libraries, they will be able to clearly and easily benefit from the docs. Libraries are available for 5 languages (Python, Go, Ruby, Java, Node) and we also provide an OpenAPI file that allows developers to generate their own client libraries, allowing third-party support for languages like C#, PHP, and Rust. All client-side capabilities are pre-built for developers via the Plaid Link widget, which provides institution selection, authentication, error messaging, and more. Link is available via client SDKs for iOS, Android, and React Native and have blessed community client SDK wrappers for Expo and Flutter. Plaid also offers partnerships with over 100+ third parties. This includes official Plaid integrators, who can work with a client to build their Plaid integration, as well as use-case specific partnerships, such as with money movement partners or asset verification partners that plug in to Plaid's APIs to help developers more easily create a seamless end-to-end integration.
"The Plaid API schema & its docs are beautifully designed and structured. Any TPM/ TL can take inspiration from their design & also get a fair idea of how any FinTech API
would be." - Ajeeth Rakkapan, developer at JustPay
