Our portal emphasises simplicity, ease of use, and consistency in its documentation. Our portal aims to provide platform experience as a differentiating factor for the NewDay platform by reducing the time to discover and go live with our cutting-edge banking platform.
Why They Stand Out
The NewDay Developer Portal is a custom-built portal with one key goal: to increase the discoverability and usability of the NewDay Platform. We undertake frequent user feedback and make regular updates and improvements in every release that drive true value for our users. From our research and analytics, we know that the number one task our users are trying to complete is API integration. To support this need, we have built a suite of features designed to enhance discoverability. Our custom-built search function allows users to easily navigate our API, widget and supporting content pages. We have carefully tweaked the weighting of different categories of pages across months of user feedback to ensure the key information is displayed first. We've added recently viewed and jump to search bar features for both speed of discovery and enhanced accessibility. Our navigation is designed with simplicity in mind and all our API specifications are available in a single 'Browse APIs' area. Our API products are tagged by product, user type and solution to allow each different user persona to filter to the APIs that are most relevant quickly.
The NewDay Developer Portal is the shopfront for the NewDay platform. Our platform offers an extensive range of APIs, widgets, apps and other products. To best portray our solutions, our API Portal has evolved to become a Solutions Portal over time. To best offer this information, we offer integration and product information about our APIs and widgets through a single unified solutions catalogue. Our widget information helps users discover, understand and go live with our range of widgets for acquisition, identity and spend. Going a step further, our Journey Explorer feature enables users to seamlessly experience our offering. This feature enables the discovery of complex and powerful solutions made up of various APIs, widgets and apps. Born out of the 2023 NewDay Hackathon, the Journey Explorer's UI showcases platform journeys through an interactive flow diagram of the API calls being made in a customer journey. Technical users can choose to view the requests and responses related to each step, while less technical users can view the accompanying demo UI for that journey to really bring it to life. The Journey Explorer helps reduce the complexity of platform journeys by bringing the tech to reality. We estimate this feature will allow us to go live with clients up to 30% faster in the future.
