The platformOS Developer Portal provides a multi-path onboarding experience, conceptual information, tutorials, examples, API references, use cases, and best practices to developers building their apps or sites on the Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) framework that is platformOS. Following the docs as code approach, it is built to accommodate constant iteration and collaboration — with our developer community being involved in all phases of our editorial workflow, the portal is quick to adapt to their ever evolving needs.

Onboarding for platformOS means addressing a complex challenge: supporting a diverse audience. Our users range from junior coders to seasoned developers to non-technical evaluators like project owners and analysts - each with different goals, skill levels, and expectations. Instead of guiding everyone through the same learning path, we designed a layered onboarding experience that progressively builds knowledge and confidence. Our onboarding journey eases users into what can be a conceptually unfamiliar environment by providing comprehensive documentation, clear guidance, real-world context, and early wins.
