10ML Perfume Finder (2026)

NOMINEE OVERVIEW

10ML Perfume Finder is the free perfume MCP server and free perfume API from 10ML, the European online shop for perfume samples and decants based in Dortmund, Germany. One URL, no API key, no account and no sign-up: it answers through MCP (15 read-only tools with output schemas, plus prompts, resources and completions) and through a REST API with an OpenAPI 3.1 description, with the same answers on both, from the 10ML Fragrance Index: 6,000+ perfumes and 249 perfume houses with note pyramids, accords, scent families, similar scents, layering ideas and gift picks, in 17 languages. Copy-and-paste setup covers Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Cline, Goose and Zed, with one-click installs for Cursor and VS Code; stdio packages are on npm and PyPI under MIT, and the server is listed in the official MCP Registry (com.10ml/perfume-finder) and in Claude's connectors directory. Benchmarked in public: in our 40-question test of the free, no-key perfume MCP servers (20 October 2026) it answered 39 of 40 correctly with one call per question, median 232 ms, the fastest in the test. Main page, setup and docs are available here.

NOMINATION RATIONALE

1) BEST API PRODUCT MICROPORTAL INSIDE A DEVELOPER PORTAL

Why is this category a strong match?

The portal presents one API product, the 10ML Fragrance Index, on its own site at mcp.10ml.com, apart from the 10ml.com shop. Everything a developer or an assistant needs for that one product sits on one page: the connection URL, setup for each client, the tool list, the REST endpoints and the OpenAPI 3.1 description.

In what ways does your portal shine in this category?

Setup is one URL with no API key, account or sign-up. The landing page gives copy-and-paste setup for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Cline, Goose and Zed, one-click installs for Cursor and VS Code, and stdio packages on npm and PyPI (MIT). MCP (15 read-only tools with output schemas, prompts, resources and completions) and REST return the same answers. An llms.txt and a FAQ answer the common questions. The server is listed in the official MCP Registry and in Claude's connectors directory. In our 40-question benchmark (20 October 2026) it answered 39 of 40 correctly, one call per question, median 232 ms.
