Sometimes you need an API to build something novel; other times, a standard integration that shouldn’t be reinvented. In this category, we are looking for portals that offer a solution discovery path centered on the visitor's use case.
Solution portals broker a cooperative and competitive value exchange through interface integrations, and help choose from technology assets that provide an alternative to a fully custom API integration (e.g. SDK, app, widget, QR-code to partner's service path, etc). They typically present the ready-made options for the most common or high-value use cases.
We look to award the best patterns in how portals present multiple integration options for the same use case, with varying levels of coding required. - Is your portal aimed solely at developers, or does it also serve business developers creating digital experiences? Is the value of your APIs clearly communicated?
- How do you use your portal as a marketing channel to connect customers and partners with relevant digital offerings across your organization?
- How easy is it to digest the information on your developer portal? Are your offerings clearly explained? How do you ensure users with different backgrounds understand what they are doing?
